Heritage Weekend

Join us as we dive into the past to unearth the fascinating history and heritage of Lauderdale House, Waterlow Park and the Highgate area.

On Saturday 27th February we’ll be hosting a range of talks and forums on Zoom celebrating Highgate’s history and exploring how organisations can support one another during the pandemic. On Sunday 28th February it’s our online Heritage Family Fun Day, where children and families can find a full afternoon of arts, crafts, quizzing and more.

All of our events this year will be held online and are free to attend. However, we would greatly appreciate any donations you can make to help us keep bringing Lauderdale to life with history, art and creativity.

Saturday 27th February

Local Heritage Forum - 11am - 12.30pm, Saturday 27th February

This forum is an opportunity for local heritage organisations and venues to share their experiences of navigating the pandemic over the past 12 months. If you’re involved in a local heritage organisation and would like take part and help us explore how we can support one another, email Katherine Ives or call 020 8348 8716. This forum will be recorded and available to watch after the event.

Highgate's Schools: Telling the tales - 2.30pm - 3.30pm, Saturday 27th February

In this session, we’re giving you the opportunity to learn about the unique past of schools in Highgate. Highgate has been famed for its schools for centuries. Whilst initially they were modest affairs, with perhaps 30 pupils or fewer, Highgate’s schools were instrumental in bringing education to the local poor as well as the prosperous.
