COVID-19 Update: Thursday 27th August 2020
We hope you are keeping safe and well. As you will have guessed, unfortunately, and unavoidably, COVID-19 has changed what has been possible in terms of hiring the House.
We are delighted that we are once again able to hold small weddings at Lauderdale House. In line with government guidance, we can now accommodate wedding ceremonies and sit-down receptions for up to 30 people (excluding venue catering staff and event stewards). To ensure the safety of all guests and staff, there are some standard guidelines that will need to be followed. Please get in touch with us for more details.
Bookings for events in 2020 – We are touching base with people 1 month before their event to discuss any new changes to government guidelines. If we agree that it is unlikely that your event can proceed, we will do everything we can to find you a suitable new date, and if that is not possible, offer a refund.
New enquiries – we welcome new enquiries. For events before 1 January 2021 we are asking for a deposit of only 30%, instead of 50%, to secure the date in the diary, and will review these events with you in line with the above. Our usual terms and conditions apply to all events on or after 1 January 2021.
We are closely following government advice and monitoring this unprecedented situation very carefully, and do appreciate how challenging it is for everyone. Please know that we are here to help and reassure you during this period. We have experience of managing uncertain opening dates from our 18 month refurbishment in 2016/17 so please feel free to reach out to us if you have any concerns.
