Overview

Lauderdale House has been home to many celebrations in its nearly 500 year history, including lavish dinners for kings and politicians, indulgent soirees for curious collectors and charming tea parties for friends and family.

Every party at the House continues this long standing tradition, and we are delighted to have hosted many birthdays, anniversaries, get-togethers, simchas and celebrations of all kinds, all beautifully catered by our partner Pink Food. Enjoy the lush landscape of Waterlow Park combined with easy access to public transport in this fabulous country house in the city.

Our three unique rooms can be hired individually or together depending on your needs:

  • The Lower Gallery / Entrance is our most popular and flexible space. Adorned with paintings by local artists, the Lower Gallery works well for standing and seated receptions and has direct access to the side terrace. The Lower Gallery / Entrance Hall is also the best room for dancing the night away.

  • The Long Gallery is our rich first floor room overlooking the knot garden. Equipped with a grand piano, the Long Gallery is the perfect space for a seated meal, be it a fully served formal dinner or an easy-going buffet lunch.

  • The Conservatory is our modern space at the back of the House with views on to the Tea Lawn, ideal for intimate and relaxed gatherings. The Conservatory can also open up to the Courtyard, which allows for a standing reception of up to 200 guests when combined with the Lower Gallery / Entrance Hall.

Be it a formal meal, champagne reception, a disco dance party or something in between, our team will be on hand every step of the way to ensure your party is a success. Just as hosting your event with us adds to our rich history, the income made from your event is used to preserve the building’s unique heritage, offer low-cost and free creative activities for our local community and run our weekly youth programme.
