Lauderdale House is based in the grounds of Waterlow Park just off Highgate Hill, close to both Archway and Highgate Village.
The 210, 271 and 143 bus routes stop just outside our gates.
From Archway Tube Station
We are about ten minutes by foot from Archway Tube Station, following Highgate Hill from Navigator Square. Please note that the route is steeply uphill. Alternatively, you can take bus number 271 from the edge of Navigator Square (stop E) to the stop "Waterlow Park / Lauderdale House" directly outside the house.
From Highgate Tube Station
It takes approximately 15 minutes to walk from Highgate Tube to Lauderdale House, this route also includes a steep hill. Follow Southwood Lane towards Highgate Village until you reach Highgate Hill. Turn left and follow the road downhill until you reach Lauderdale House, which is on the edge of Waterlow Park.
From Highgate Cemetary / Swain's Lane
Walking across Waterlow Park from Highgate Cemetery to Lauderdale House takes about five minutes. This is a lovely, scenic route through the park. However, please note that the park is only open between sunrise and sunset. If you are making this journey after dark, you will need to detour around the outside of the park via Swain's Lane, Bisham Gardens and Highgate Hill.
Please note that we do not have our own parking at Lauderdale House, as we are based within a public park. Public parking spaces are available on Highgate Hill and some of the surrounding side streets - please check parking restrictions and prices before leaving your vehicle here, and note that restrictions are different on the two sides of the street! There is one disabled parking bay directly outside our gates.
