Family Day

Join us for a family friendly fun afternoon of heritage, history, arts, crafts, and quizzes. This year we're hosting our annual Heritage Family Fun Day online.

This event will be hosted on Sunday 28th February, on Zoom, 3pm – 5.30pm. This is a free event, but donations are welcome. This is a drop in event - you do not need to stay for all of the sessions. The timetable is as follows:

3pm - 3.40pm - Lauderdale families draw and create!

30 minutes of a drawing challenge and creating your own curious lucky charms.

3.40pm - 4pm - Family Fun Curious Quiz!

Multiple choice quiz about the history of Lauderdale House all the colourful characters who have lived here.

4pm - 4.15pm - 15 minute break

4.15pm - 4.45pm - The Queens Head!

Learn how to do a coin rubbing and design your own coin. Did you know the person who built Lauderdale, Richard Martin, was the Master of the Royal Mint? We will discover together some fun facts about shiny coins and their history.

4.45pm - 5pm - 15 minute break

5pm - 5.30pm - Pomander Making

Raid your parent's spices and herbs to help you chill out! Investigate how people in the past made their homes smell fantastic and make your own relaxing scented pouch.

Child online safety is our top priority. Parents MUST be present with the child/children for the first 5 minutes of joining the session. The ticket holder's name MUST match the name of the Zoom account that you will be using for the video call
