Lauderdale House is a Grade II* listed building that dates back to 1582. Situated in Highgate’s beautiful Waterlow Park, the house offers several flexible spaces for hire for wedding ceremonies or receptions, with options to accommodate up to 130 guests.

Located a short walk from Archway tube station, Lauderdale’s attractive rooms open directly onto the beautiful terraced gardens of Waterlow Park; the perfect location for your wedding celebration (and a lovely backdrop for those all-important wedding photos!) Our historic gallery spaces are licenced for civil marriages and partnerships, and couples are welcome to host either their ceremony or reception – or both – with us.

Our friendly and experienced events team will do all they can to help you plan the perfect wedding day and are happy to put together a bespoke schedule suited to your budget and needs.

Lauderdale House is a registered charity and runs as an arts centre for the local community. The income made from weddings is invested back into education, outreach and heritage projects.

With the well-documented economic challenges the country is facing at the moment, we're aware that this is a particularly complex time to be planning a wedding! As such, we are keen to do our bit to ensure that a beautiful celebration at Lauderdale House remains a possibility for as many people as possible. Here's our plan:

From November to March we offer free wedding ceremonies to couples who choose to host their reception* with us in our stunning historic rooms, giving couples full use of both our Lower and Long Galleries. This means less time searching for multiple venues, a beautiful setting to celebrate your love, and more budget to dedicate to the party! Waterlow Park is a magical location all year round, and we hope this offer will help alleviate a bit of the stress when planning your big day. Give us a call for further details!

Our Catering Partners, Pink Food, will work with you to create a tailor-made menu for your wedding day, perfectly suited to your requirements and budget. They have a thorough knowledge of how events at Lauderdale House are run and can offer an impressive variety of catering options suitable for all kinds of wedding celebrations, including champagne receptions, sit-down meals or informal buffet spreads.

Pink Food's catering approach is all about great food and high-quality local ingredients, with a focus on prioritising animal welfare and environmental sustainability. Pink Food can provide vegetarian, Halal or Kosher wedding food and can accommodate any specific dietary requirements and menu styles you have.
