Guitar virtuosos Rios & King are joined by very special guests violinist Omar Puente and percussionist Ago Hernández for a thrilling programme brimming with dynamism, energy and rich musical conversation.

Hailing from two culturally contrasting regions of the world - Poland and Nicaragua - guitarists Omar Rios and Artur King first collaborated in 2021 and have since wowed audiences with their electrifying live show at a multitude of venues including Temple of Art & Music, Pizza Express Soho, Pizza Express Holborn, Old Street Records & Groucho Members Club in Soho.

The London-based duo share a deep connection which transcends their individual virtuosity, each performance a nuanced musical conversation in terms of energy, sound quality, dynamics, articulation and expression. Their rich repertoire takes listeners on a vast musical journey through styles and genres, featuring a blend of original compositions, Latin fusion, Bossa-Nova, Jazz, Soul, Pop and even Acoustic Rock standards in fresh, brave interpretations.

Rios & King Guitar Duo are delighted to welcome percussionist Ago Hernández and internationally-acclaimed Cuban violinist Omar Puente.

Omar Puente’s contribution to 20th and 21st century violin playing has now become legendary. His generous nature, his commitment to good music, his enjoyment of life and his respect for his colleagues are all characteristics which make him a true violin great. - Nigel Kennedy

Weather

The performance will continue regardless of the weather unless unsafe. Please plan for all eventualities and remember to bring a waterproof layer and a warm jumper. We prefer waterproofs to umbrellas because umbrellas can obstruct views. Don’t forget that if you are on a blanket the ground may be wet so make sure you have a blanket with a waterproof side or bring aplastic sheet. There are no refunds for shows cancelled due to the weather.

Food and Drink

The café/bar will be open selling light snacks and drinks before the performance starts and during the interval.
You are also welcome to bring your own picnic to enjoy on the Tea Lawn as you watch the performance.
