Fresh participants

Aged between 13 - 19? Join us this summer for weekly creative session at Lauderdale House.

These sessions are held partnership with Camden Youth Services and are held on Thursdays, 1 - 4pm (term hours 4 - 6pm) for 13 - 19 year olds (up to 25 for disabled young people).

We work with exciting artists who lead engaging and fun sessions. The programme is youth-led, and operates in term and over the holidays, with the participants contributing ideas to future sessions and giving feedback at every stage of planning.

Want to come along? Complete our sign up form below or scroll down for some details.

This summer we're inviting you to explore where you’re from, where you are now and where you’re going in our 'Traces, Faces & Places: My Home' season. Working with 3 practitioners you’ll be able to learn new art forms and skills in a relaxed and welcoming space. See more info about sessions below. All sessions are held on Thursdays 1 - 4pm (lunch between 1 - 2 pm and is provided).

25 July & 1 August - Photography with Polly
What does home mean to you? Work with Polly to create portraits exploring this theme

8 & 15 August - Zines and Chinese Calligraphy with Wilson

Build on your photographs by turning them into zines (personal magazines) and decorate them with traditional Chinese Calligraphy

22 & 29 August - Origami and Collage with Alison
Use your new calligraphy skills to collage origami lotus flowers. The work will then be dipped in wax, bronze and porcelain to create sculptures

Are you a young person who would like to try these sessions? Click on the button below to get access to our sign up form. We also offer the opportunity to drop in for just 5-10 minutes to see how the session feels before committing to a longer session.

The project has developed from over two years of partnership work and is particularly important as the youth centre that the young people used to attend, Fresh Youth Academy, is closed for refurbishment. The session is supported by two youth workers from Camden Youth Services and sessions are normally led by an artist or the Education & Outreach Officer.

We are currently fundraising to continue to run these sessions. If you are able to, please consider supporting us by donating below.
