The Calligraphy Exhibition by Sheung-Chak Yau (Zhi Hang) and His Students presents the artistic bond between master and disciples through the timeless art of Chinese brush and ink.
Master Sheung-Chak Yau, also known by his pen name Zhi Hang, has long devoted himself to the art of calligraphy and seal carving. His works have been selected for many major national exhibitions, including the 9th National Calligraphy and Seal Carving Exhibition and the 4th National Regular Script Exhibition. He has received numerous honours such as the Gold Award in the 1st National Chinese Literati Couplets Calligraphy Competition and the Champion of the Yu Jimei Cup Hong Kong Calligraphy Competition.
Through this exhibition, Master Yau and his students collectively explore the harmony of line, rhythm, and spirit, revealing both technical mastery and poetic insight. Each participant contributes a unique interpretation of Chinese calligraphy, forming a dialogue between tradition and contemporary sensibility.
The exhibition invites audiences to experience the elegance and depth of Chinese brushwork — a living art that continues to inspire across cultures and time.
