Opening Dates & Hours

The London Chinese Brush Painters' Group presents an exhibition of work by their members, highlighting the beauty and range of styles within the form.

The London Chinese Brush Painters’ Group was formed in the 1990s by a group of friends who had a mutual interest in traditional Chinese painting and materials. They were passionate about spreading the word about the wonderful style of art and passing on their interest to others. The Group has been very active over the years, expanding at times to over 50 members.

The styles of Chinese brush painting vary, from a loose, freehand flowing style to something much more precise and detailed. It also ranges from traditional to modern, along with incorporating calligraphy. The Group try to cover all areas through their monthly face to face workshops, as well as shorter online sessions. These are all run by professional tutors with extra advice and help coming from more experienced members for those new to the style of art.

The Group's exhibition showcases the work from members, highlighting these different styles and experience.
