Come and see the photographic works of our youth collective, Highgate Haven, showcasing their view of the world as they developed their skills behind the lens.
Over the summer, our youth collective Highgate Haven worked with photographers Anselm Ebulue and Polly Hancock to develop their skills in front and behind the lens. They tryed out different settings on the camera, worked with backdrops, lighting and flash bulbs as well as raided our costume store to create some powerful portraits! The prints on display here have all been taken by the young people and represent their view of the world as seen through their eyes.
Highgate Haven youth collective (formerly Fresh Youth), runs in partnership with Camden Youth Services - Highgate Haven Youth Hub and is for young people aged 13 - 19 (up to 25 for disabled young people). They meet every Thursday from 4pm to 6pm for free and fun creative sessions here Lauderdale House where they collaborate with exciting artists. The programme is youth-led and year-round, with the participants contributing ideas to future sessions and giving feedback at every stage of planning.
