Candy-coloured oil paintings of idealised urban landscapes by local artist Emma Loizides.

Emma Loizides is a self-taught artist from Muswell Hill. inspired by city life, travels, and the sensations of colour. Her signature style can be found in her candy hued street scenes and energetic urban vistas which evoke escapism. Capturing a moment in time. A stillness.

Taking inspiration from artists Edward Hopper and Wayne Thiebaud. The artist’s practice is influenced by time spent in Las Vegas; the American landscape, sunsets, and palm trees often feature in her work.  Emma aims to capture the hope of sunrise and the possibilities a new day may bring. She creates happy, humorous, uplifting works that take people on a journey to London and beyond.

Emma’s painting “Monos” has been selected for this year’s Summer Exhibition at the Royal Academy in London.

This exhibition is a selection of London and USA colourful cityscape paintings. Art to uplift and evoke the happy feelings of summer.
