Alison Blomfield is a multimedia artist who uses her practice to convey the vitality and vibrancy of nature.

This exhibition, ‘Scenes by a Nature lover 1976 – Present day’, explores Alison’s use of print and oil pastels throughout her career. For Alison, print and pastel grow organically and offer surprising detail, mimicking the natural scenes she captures. The addition of torn paper to her works imbues them with a lively energy whilst emphasising nature’s ephemerality and fragile strength. Flowers are a particular favourite of Alison and feature prominently throughout this exhibition as they often represent celebrations of special occasions and memories of love shared.

After serious illness and a two year wait due to the pandemic, Alison is delighted to find time and space for people to view this collection of her work and to share the joy she finds in the glory of the natural world.
