Andrea celebrates the release of her brand new album Lost in Dreams (Inequations label), her sixth under her own name, alongside music from her recent duo recording with renowned saxophonist Mark Lockheart.

For this special performance, Andrea is joined by a stellar lineup featuring Mark Lockheart on saxophone, Mat Fisher on drums, and Dorian Lockett on bass. Expect a rich, dynamic set blending the rhythmic energy of New York-style fusion with the melodic, reflective lyricism of European jazz.

Andrea Vicari has made her mark on the UK jazz scene both as a pianist and composer and has 5 Cds under her own name as well as 2 CDs with ‘Jazz Extempore’. More recently Andrea has just released he newest album ‘Lost in Dreams’. Made up mostly of her own compositions and joined by saxophonist Emma Rawicz the music is a real mix of groove and contemporary jazz.

Her performing career has included playing with her own band and various others including trumpeter Yazz Ahmed, Croatian guitarist Elvis Stanic, Mornington Lockett, South African trumpeter Claude Deppa, Eddie Harris and Art Farmer.

Andrea has performed at the 2022 Steinway 2 piano jazz festival, 2017 at Ronnie Scott’s piano trio festival and in 2017 in Quanzhou, China, 3rd Maritime Silk Road festival with Croatian band led by Elvis Stanic.

Mark Lockheart is one of the UK’s leading great saxophonists and a prolific jazz composers. Jazz FM awarded Mark jazz instrumentalist of the year . An original member of the 80’s band ‘Loose Tubes’ Mark has gone on to record with jazz greats such as Norma Winstone, Kenny Wheeler and Django Bates.

Dorian Lockett is equally at home on the electric and double bass, and has worked with several jazz musicians in the UK -Phil Robson, Clare Hirst and Don Weller as well as abroad with Paola Vera based in France, Antonio Serrano (famous for working with Paco de Lucia for 10 years) and Elvis Stanic in Croatia. More recently he has recorded albums with the 80’s star ‘Hazel O’Connor’ and Paola Vera.

Mat Fisher is a highly skilled and creative musicians. Mat is the regular drummer for many jazz groups including Rebecca Nash’s ‘Atlas’ and Dee Byrne’s ‘Entropi’ described by the late vocalist Tina May as ‘versatile and a very dynamic drummer’.
