The next walk will be held on Tuesday 23 June from 11am - 12.30pm.
Starting at Lauderdale House in Waterlow Park, the walk will explore some of the history of the house and surrounding area, including points of interest within the park and stories connected to Highgate.
The route will also pass through part of Highgate Cemetery where participants will enjoy a short introduction to the cemetery and some of its history, before finishing back at Holly Lodge Community Centre, where there will be refreshments and time to chat afterwards.
You are welcome to join us on the entire walk, or you can join us for just the beginning of the walk in Waterlow Park.
Highgate Cemetery contains some paths in the cemetery are steep and uneven. Those joining us should wear appropriate footwear and assess their own ability before undertaking the walk.
Please also note:
- If there is wet weather, paths may be slippery and muddy
- Highgate Cemetery does not allow dogs
- There will be little to no seating from the entrance to exit of the cemetery
Below, you will find an image of the route, along with the approximate length, elevation and other key points along the route.
