Join us for a Nowruz Open House celebrating the arrival of spring and the Persian New Year.
Members of our local community will be sharing traditional Afghan dishes prepared especially for the occasion, including Samanak, Sabzi Chalow, Haft Mewa, Afghan sweets and green tea. Visitors are warmly invited to enjoy the food, learn about Nowruz traditions as they are celebrated in Afghanistan, and discover the cultural meaning behind these symbolic dishes while spending time together in a welcoming space.
This afternoon offers a chance to share food, conversation and music while marking the season of renewal. Everyone is very welcome to drop in at any time, meet neighbours and celebrate the start of spring together.
