Mehrnoosh Mansoor - Samanu (Sweet Pudding)
Born in Tehran and based in London since 2011, Mehrnoosh Mansoor’s life has been shaped equally by two cities and two cultures. With a PhD in Urban Design, her background is rooted in understanding how people experience space. After completing her doctorate, she turned toward illustration as a more personal and intuitive way of exploring the world. What began a year ago as a new creative path has quickly become a central part of her practice. Her work is driven by a love for visual storytelling, people and atmosphere. She dreams of a city entirely illustrated in Persian tiles and motifs washed in endless shades of blue, her favourite colour!
Paria Khademi - Serkeh (Vinegar)
She is an Iranian illustrator and fine artist based in London, currently studying Ba illustration at Camberwell College of Arts, University of the Arts London. Having studied graphic design and communication at Sooreh Art School in Tehran before moving to London in 2022, she works freelance across both illustration and fine art. Working primarily with fluid mediums such as watercolour and acrylic, with a strong interest in imprinting leaves and branches as well as integrating Farsi ( Persian) text into visual compositions, her practice is rooted in the exploration of human connection and intimate moments. Drawing inspiration from Persian poems, intricate family experiences and natural elements, her work reflects on the interconnection between inner soul and the mundane world.
Parisa Oreizi - Senjed (Oleander)
She is a multidisciplinary designer originally from Esfahan, Iran, who has been based in London for the past eight years. Her professional journey began in interior and product design before evolving into the tech sector, a transition driven by her innate curiosity and a passion for code. For Parisa, illustration serves as a vital medium for storytelling and expressing complex ideas that transcend words. Her work is deeply influenced by the rich symbolism of Nowruz, a celebration that holds significant personal meaning for her. Living abroad, she has embraced Nowruz as a time for fostering community, creating new traditions, and celebrating the essence of renewal with friends.
Bahareh Fallah - Seeb (Apple)
She is an illustrator and a graduate of Alzahra University in Tehran. Her artistic practice is defined by a unique “fusion” style, where she masterfully combines mixed media techniques with a deep passion for pattern design. Beyond her technical skill, Bahareh’s work is celebrated for its profound sense of intimacy. She has a remarkable ability to bring warm, kind-hearted characters to life, inviting viewers into a gentle world where intricate patterns.
Shereen Foroutani Ali Abad - Seer (Garlic)
She is a 23 years old Iranian artist and animation student living in California, where she has made her home over the past five years. Her work began in illustration and continues to expand into animation and visual storytelling, guided by curiosity and experimentation. Art is her language an exploration of imagination, memory, and form. Alongside her studies in Animation & Game Design, she works as an art instructor while shaping her personal creative practice.
Ghazaleh Hajijafari - Sabzeh (Sprouts)
She is an architect and illustrator originally from Tehran, currently based in Nottingham, UK. While practicing architecture professionally, she has always maintained a deep passion for culture, literature, and Persian mythology. For Ghazaleh, illustration is a vital medium for storytelling—a way to reimagine ancient myths and make them engaging for younger generations. Her artistic style is a unique reflection of her architectural background, blending handmade and drawn textures with collage and imaginative composition. In her recent work for the Nowruz and Easter Trail, she explores shared themes of renewal, spring, and sunshine, creating artworks that celebrate these cultural traditions as harmonious expressions of new beginnings.
Faren Taghizadeh - Somagh (Sumac)
Faren Taghizadeh is a journalist and illustrator passionate about editorial illustration and visual storytelling. Her work is shaped by her reflections on news and people, primarily in Iran. She uses line as a storytelling tool to convey emotion and connect with the viewer. College, printmaking, and working with ink are central to her practice. Alongside these, she also works in digital illustration and 2D animation. Based in London, she seeks to inform non-Iranian audiences about Iranian culture, stories, and current events. She integrates both Persian and English elements in her work to engage and connect with audiences from both cultures.
