Heather Tuach and Yoko Misumi, together with award-winning young cellists, share a concert of works by women composers, to fundraise for The Susanne Beer Cello Corner Foundation.
Join us for an evening of delightful discoveries of music by women composers. Heather Tuach and Yoko Misumi (cello/piano) will perform alongside award-winning young cellists in this fundraiser. Composers include Barbara Heller, Henriette Bosmans, Liz Dilnot Johnson, Jennifer Higdon, Anna Cawrse, Jessie Montgomery, Lili and Nadia Boulanger, Elena Kats-Chernin and more.
Heather Tuach and Yoko Misumi have been playing together as a duo since 2011. Heather and Yoko also play in the Greenwich Trio, which has been hailed as ‘captivatingly virtuosic” by BBC Music Magazine in 2023.
The young cellists are of a high calibre, many aspiring to become professional cellists. They are performing for the love of music and to support The Cello Corner Foundation. Some of them study at the Royal College and Royal Academy Junior departments. They are excited to be sharing their repertoire by women composers.
All proceeds will go towards The Susanne Beer Cello Corner Foundation, which supports young cellists through cello and bow loans; grants for tuition; and performance opportunities.
