Lower Gallery

Teens aged 14 - 19 can learn how to alter their clothes for free as part of Camden Summer University's free No Sew Workshop.

Cut and paste two halves of a top together to create a mismatched shirt, add extra panels to create criss-cross corset styles to make tops bigger or smaller. Use your old jeans and paint on them, stick on embroidered patches, crop them, or make a skirt from them.

The experienced teachers will show your teen how to use eyelets, lace, ribbon, fabric, and glue to customise a new and unique outfit.

Bring something old you want to upcycle or use some of the garments provided.

The workshops will be taking place in Lauderdale House's Lower Gallery from 10.30am to 2.30pm, Wednesday 9 August to Friday 11 August.

To get involved, young people must be aged between 14 to 19, and live the London Borough of Camden or study at a Camden Maintained School. The course is free but you must register your teen by 2 August to attend.
