String of Pearls Ensemble invite you to a magical evening of poetry, stories and song woven together from the teachings of the 13th century poet Rumi.
Duncan Mackintosh is a master storyteller who has transfixed audiences with his vivid Rumi performances for the last 30 years. Trained in traditional Iranian storytelling, Zahra Afsah offers an exquisite and original way of delivering Rumi stories. Iranian singer Leela Emadi’s voice will transport you to another realm. Laura Merri will share thought provoking Rumi poetry with elegance and precision.
‘An Evening with Rumi’ has been specially curated for this year’s Nowruz Festival and features four dynamic performers. Expect an evening of inspirational storytelling and songs, good humour, timeless wisdom and a journey home to the heart.
From the Rumi aficionado to the new and curious, all are welcome to this uplifting event to celebrate the mysteries of life and the arrival of spring!
