Our schools programme connects children and young people to their local area and heritage, giving them ownership of the space and building bridges in the local community.

Kids in Museums Takeover Day
On Takeover Day, students from St. Michael's School Highgate take over the house and display a full exhibition that they have curated and created. They also take over the roles of the staff, welcoming guests at reception, lending a hand in the office and even taking over our Twitter Account!

Cabinet of Curiosities
Year 10 students from local schools work with our artist in residence to create ceramic and bronze pieces inspired by the collections of plants and artefacts of James Yates.

Art of Dispute
Art of Dispute is a poetry project inspired by former Lauderdale House resident, William Mead. Students work with a professional poet to write and perform spoken word pieces around themes of justice and free speech.
