An evening of French song and music journeying from mélodie to chanson with Gina Fergione (mezzo soprano) and Gabriel Keen (piano) including songs from their newly released album.

Plaisirs D’Amour embarks on a journey back in time to the Belle Époque and the Avant Garde. The many facets of love’s pleasures are presented in an intimate and alluring manner, through the interpretations of Gina Fergione’s “warm and rich voice” delivering “spine-chilling” moments with her “vast range of colour and depths”, mingled with the “beautiful, deeply comprehended and thoughtfully delivered” interpretations of Gabriel Keen’s piano accompaniments.

The composers range from Fauré, Duparc, Satie, Messiaen, Chausson, Chaminade, Hahn and Piaf.

Interval at around 8.30pm. Reception afterwards.
