collage drawings Elly van der Hoorn
Overview
Opening Dates & Hours

Elly van der Hoorn studied BA Fine Art followed by MA Drawing at Camberwell College - University of Arts London.

Elly's drawings explore ideas of order, chaos, repetition and confinement through usage of pattern making and accident.
The bases of pattern are gathered from a variety of sources ranging from maps, scientific drawings, film and microscopic images through to wallpaper design and the baroque. The work combines both random pattern drawing and more controlled work manipulated by layering, fading, cutting etc.

The exhibition includes a collection of small and large drawings, both on canvas and paper.

Drawings will be on display at Lauderdale House’s Upper Gallery during gallery opening times from Wednesday 29 May until Monday 24 June.
