Overview

We are always interested in working with the local community, building bridges in the area and ensuring that everyone is able to benefit from Lauderdale House.

In the past we have worked with a range of groups and people, including older people’s groups, groups for people with dementia and their carers and students on their Art and Design Foundation course.

Projects have ranged from tours of the House to art workshops to exhibitions in the House and the Park.

Breakfast Network

Lauderdale House has also developed close relationships with local organisations through creating and organising a local informal Breakfast Network of 32 local libraries, community centres, societies and organisations.

This network grew directly from our Lauderdale Transformed Education and Outreach project and is now a valued resource for all attended by 15 to 25 people five times a year and which connects Archway, Highgate, Waterlow Park and Dartmouth Park.

To find out more, or if you and your organisation would like to attend, contact Katherine.

Free Lunchtime Concerts

Lauderdale House hosts a series of free classical concerts throughout the year. These include piano recitals from resident pianist Stephen Hose and chamber ensemble performances from the Meritus Collective. These take place upstairs in the beautiful and bright Long Gallery overlooking the gardens of Waterlow Park.

These concerts are open to the whole community and are incredibly popular with people who live and work locally.

Check our music page for upcoming concerts.
