Education and Outreach Officer (Heritage & Arts) 

Lauderdale House is looking for an experienced, imaginative, adaptable and committed Education & Outreach Officer (Heritage and Arts). This is an opportunity to play a crucial role in:

  •  delivering our Education and Outreach programme, ‘Opening the Doors’, engaging local young people, children and adults in creative and heritage opportunities, and taking it to the next stage.  The programme was launched in April 2016 and supported by the National Lottery Heritage Fund and John Lyon’s Charity to create heritage and arts-based projects linking young people with the House.  
  • creating new opportunities for heritage and artistic educational outreach work, focusing particularly on engaging young people aged between 11 and 24 years with the House through formal and informal education

This position would particularly suit someone who is seeking to work across a broad range of provision (in informal and formal educational settings) and/or as the next step in their career.

Fundraising Executive

An opportunity to raise funds to support Lauderdale House, a vibrant centre for arts, heritage and culture. 

This is a very exciting time to join the team following ‘Lauderdale Transformed’, a major capital refurbishment and upgrade which started in September 2015 and was completed in October 2016 when it re-opened. The Fundraising Executive will have the opportunity to:

  • develop a new individual giving programme
  • develop a new trusts and foundations programme building on the success of the capital appeal
  • work closely with the Director and relevant stakeholders to develop fundable heritage and arts projects
  • develop the fundraising systems and approaches needed to ensure superlative donor and funder care

We are seeking a highly motivated, target driven individual with a keen eye for income generation. This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your arts and heritage fundraising career to the next level. You will enjoy working with a diverse range of people in a constantly changing environment, and thrive on the challenges offered by a small, buzzy arts and heritage venue with a highly varied offering.
