Marketing & Communications Manager

Lauderdale House is looking for an enthusiastic Marketing and Communications Manager to join our busy, friendly team. This is a full time role helping to:

  • expand our audience base and increase attendance figures for performances and classes
  • increase our profile for hospitality hires, and reposition the House in the wedding and party market
  • establish a new profile as a heritage destination to run alongside and complement our arts and education profile
  • further integrate our marketing and fundraising strategies to increase individual giving as well as increase our appeal to larger funders

We are seeking a highly organized individual with a keen eye for income generation who has three or more years' marketing and communications experience and a forward-thinking interest in digital and social media. This is an extremely varied role which includes the full marketing and communications mix as well as some elements of office management, admin and volunteer management. You will be part of a small integrated team supported by a wide range of diverse volunteers where everyone’s contribution is vital.

Fundraising Executive

An opportunity to raise funds to support Lauderdale House, a vibrant centre for arts, heritage and culture. 

This is a very exciting time to join the team following ‘Lauderdale Transformed’, a major capital refurbishment and upgrade which started in September 2015 and was completed in October 2016 when it re-opened. The Fundraising Executive will have the opportunity to:

  • develop a new individual giving programme
  • develop a new trusts and foundations programme building on the success of the capital appeal
  • work closely with the Director and relevant stakeholders to develop fundable heritage and arts projects
  • develop the fundraising systems and approaches needed to ensure superlative donor and funder care

We are seeking a highly motivated, target driven individual with a keen eye for income generation. Part-Time Bookkeeper

We are looking for a friendly and practical Book-Keeper who wishes to be part of our team and get to know the organisation; and someone who enjoys working in a busy and creative environment. This is an essential role supporting the Director, Marketing Manager and Events Manager and ensures the organisation operates effectively and efficiently.

Following a major refurbishment in 2016 we are getting busier and busier, hosting a packed programme of wide ranging creative events (classical concerts, jazz, children’s theatre and seasonal activities, cabaret, exhibitions, creative classes for all ages) and private functions (weddings, parties, funerals, meetings) with a turnover of between £300,000 and £400,000. We are a registered charity and also run an extensive outreach programme working with young people in schools and community centres, supported by charitable funds. We are at an exciting time of development as we consolidate our business plan and continue to expand activity and income.
